Walk?

I went for a walk today. I walk everyday, but today was different. Today was a chance to walk with my wife, with friends and thousands of others; in support of women, all the women walking in protest to their virulent derision, in support of climate change to protest it’s demise at the hands of a few, in support of decency and respect for others, and for human rights. The placards and banners said it all, pushing back against the rise of isolation, this divide and conquer, but we walked together. It was a collective loud voice calling to vote, next time, for all the reasons we walked for.
All the folks walking, together brought to mind, for some reason, “Seasons of Love” from RENT. “Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred ……” .
