One More Day

So the day begins with the puzzle of Manarola and it’s many shades of colour but the it’s the grey that presents a problem. There are many shades of grey and for one thing it’s a grey day today.

How this led to a discussion about grey, drab and dray is beyond me Funky Folks but for the record so be it. Sure enough dray is a word in many dictionaries. It could be a trolley like affair for transporting beer, a more enlightening thought on a grey day. Drey could also refer to a squirrels nest often used as a reference to my bedroom. If there was a drey of beer in the squirrels nest and nuts to go that would be most exciting on a gray day.

Drab is the lack of brightness or interest, a drearily dull state of affairs and one could dress in a dull brownish colour to meet the grey day.

So on this grey, dray and drab day we go back to the coulours of Manarola that lift us beyond the malaise of our little discussion. It’s a welcome distraction.
