In Canada, sedition, which includes speaking seditious words, publishing a seditious libel, and being party to a seditious conspiracy, is an indictable offense, for which the maximum punishment is of fourteen years’ imprisonment.
The situation in Ottawa is one of sedition as speaking megaphones, publishing banners of libel or the “party” it has begun is clearly one of sedition and throw guns into the mix and it’s a recipe for disaster. Can that be avoided?
This situation cannot be ignored.
As nerves run thin Ottawa has declared a state of emergency in response to the honking horns protesting mandate eradication.
In Canada a state of emergency occurs when a government assumes authority it does not generally possess to respond to a crisis. Typically, this is done by invoking said authority under specific legislation, and permits the government to expend funds, mobilize forces, or suspend civil liberties.
We wait with bated breath.
