Intersections

Funky Folks have you ever been hit by a blinding glimpse of the obvious? It happened to me the other day. It was so intense I had to wear sunglasses afterwards. We were driving to the ho’pital and stopped at an intersection. Then it hit me, this deep and profound glimpse into my pea brain.
Everything in life happens at an intersection.
Crashes have dire consequences in that they can result in unplanned visits to the ho’pital in a wailing ambulance. The police, fire department, insurance adjuster and some other dudes will intersect with you.
At birth we begin intersecting with the world. These intersections determine who we are. Some are by choice like those puts of DJ and JR and others just happen like a crash at the intersection or a virus intersecting with the immune system.
Finding the love of your life may require many intersections before that love crashes into you.
Now take the recent PGA tournament played Olympic Fields near Chicago where DJ eyes this extremely difficult put on the final hole. He has to determine the direction, speed and surface if the green so the ball intersects with the hole. He sinks it forcing a playoff with JR. jR has an even more difficult put of 66 feet. Like DJ his ball takes a windy path and it intersects with the hole. JR wins the tournament.
Funky Folks nothing happens in isolation. That pea-brain is working overtime when we sleep intersecting with who knows what. Every activity; reading, writing, cooking, meditating, music, getting dressed and so on requires an intersection of some kind.
Best we keep our intersections with what matters as best as we can.
