In the Land of Literature Queen Shebook surrounded herself with books and books and books. She sat on a throne of books, went to a bed of soft-cover books and devoured books.
She had ascended to Royal status after the courage she displayed in the famous Battle of the Burning Books. It was Wordsmith who instigated this rebellion attempting to gain leadership and control the supply of books forcing a price war. Shebook would have none of this. As Commander of the Land she summoned her War Council comprised of several seriously important people running a tight ship.
Dick the Dictionary controlled all words entering the Land with his definitive power. Libby the Chief Librarian indexed books for the masses. Essentially this was in contrast to Wordsmith’s monopolistic desires. In contrast Queen Shebook demanded a free and uncensored book world. Chief Editors, Authors and Techies all helped in bringing order to her mission.
Wordypecker sat as consultant advising them all and setting policies for procedures in the Land. He and Dick had a great working relationship save for Wordy’s serious stammer, a result of incessant pecking. Dick had learned to be patient though, threw having the masses constantly leafing through his book.
Wordypecker was behind enemy lines in the First World Word War. His reconnaissance and tapping out coded messages to Shebook’s freedom press fighters, who later assumed journalistic responsibilities in Shebooks mission.
In fact Queen Shebook was so impressed with Wordy’s pecking that she decided to establish a vehicle for pecking and communicating a wealth of ideas to the masses. To honor Wordy Shebook called this vechile Wordypress and it’s trademark “WYP” sealed up the market. Analysts praised this move.
At the end of that summoned meeting when Wordypeacker reached for the door handle he heard Queen Shebbook’s words.
“Wordy stay awhile. I want a word with you.”
This sent Wordy into a fit of stammering, “S…s…s…s ure thing.” He was unsure of what was coming.
Dropping her commanding demeanor Shebook beckoned, “Come closer. Come, sit by my side because “Words are all I have to take your heart away.”
This brought a everlasting smile to Wordy’s wordface. His admiration of Shebook had unknowingly morphed into words of love. With out a thought Wordy cosyed up to Shebook,
He tweeted, “Let’s start a brand new story now, My Love.”
With that Shebook stood took Woody’s hand and they left the war room. They had no care that the War Council was at a loss for words on hearing of their departure.
From the window of the War Room the couple could be seen holding hands, skipping down the street, so fancy free.
Later, much much later the book Sgt. Pecker’s Shebook Band ruled the goodreads chart in legacy to the couple’s carving out a brave new world.
In legend they epitomized the word ‘Funky’. Wayway later the “Beatles” in Funky outfits parlayed Sgt, Pecker’s Band book into music. The masses went wild.
